Scavanger Hunt

The West Virginia Cave Conservancy (WVCC) and Greenbrier Grotto have teamed up to host a scavenger hunt to celebrate the NSS Convention in Elkins, WV in June 2023.

Hunt will go from May 11 to September 1!
There are twelve clues in twelve WVCC caves! Each clue is a piece of a larger puzzle. Take only one piece per site! Find all 12 clues to see the whole image!

There will be special prizes for the team(s) that find the most clues. Prizes include a unique trophy, Passes to ACE Waterpark, Golf Pass to Raven Golfcourse at Snowshoe, and WVCC swag!

Rules/How to Participate
1. One puzzle piece per team!
2. First to find the clue can claim a beer!
A can of Great Claw Beer has been placed with each clue. No beer at your clue? You’re not the first here! The Great Claw beer is named for the Jeffersonian Sloth fossil found in one of the clue locations
(hmm maybe that's a hint at one of the locations)
3. Please do not disturb or move the clues! They will be cleaned up at the conclusion of the hunt!
4. Do not share the location of clues!
5. Collect all 12 clues, put the puzzle together to see the larger image.
6. Share your progress with WVCC! Tag us on FB!
